All-day community festival on Jonesboro Square, Period crafts, demonstrations,
food, music, games, etc.
1:30 19th Century Jonesboro Band leads procession to debate site at Lincoln
Memorial Park. Citizens and visitors may "Walk Where Lincoln Walked" (or ride in
a buggy as Douglas did) to travel the ¼ mile from Jonesboro Square up Main
Street to the Debate Site at Lincoln Memorial Park.
2:00 Press Conference Program with Lincoln and Douglas Reunion Team as they re-
visit Jonesboro 150 years after the Great Debate.
Sunday, Sept. 14
1:00 Old Fashioned Picnic in the Park with music, Lincoln and Douglas, and
today’s current local politicians. Bring your own basket of food or purchase
from area merchants.
14 Harvest Festival at Blue Sky

to turn onto Jefferson Street or Davie Street
Directions from Cape Girardeau:
- Cross the (only) bridge into Illinois.
- Upon entering Illinois you will be on Route 146.
- In 3 miles Route 146 will come to a "T" and turn left.
- In Approximately 12 miles Route 146 turns right.
- In 8 miles you will come to the Jonesboro, IL Square, featuring a water
fountain in the center.
- Continue driving East 2 miles until you come to the first set of traffic
lights (Jefferson Street) in Anna, IL
- Turn Right onto Jefferson continue South 2 blocks to a 4-way stop
(Freeman Street).
- Turn Left onto Freeman and continue for 2 blocks to the Davie School Inn
on your Right.
Directions from I-57 North
- Exit 36 will bring you to Route 146
- Turn Right (West) onto Route 146
- In Approximately 6 miles you will come to Anna, IL.
- After the 3rd set of traffic light you will pass (on your left) a
McDonald's, Sonic, and a Police Station.
- Just past the Police Station you will need to turn Left onto Market
Street (just opposite the Casey's General Store).
- After crossing a set of railroad tracks you will come to a "T" (Davie
Street).
- Turn Right onto Davie for 2 blocks and you will come to Freeman Street.
- Turn Left onto Freeman for 2 blocks to the the Davie School Inn on your
left.
